Ramarao Adidamu (1879- 1954)

Ramarao Adidamu was born in 1879. His native place was Pusapatirega in Visakhapatnam district in Andhra. His father was Veeraraju and mother was Sundaramma. He had four brothers and three sisters. He conducted part of his primary education in Pusapatirega and completed it in Bobbili.  He finished matriculation in Vijayanagaram.  He became a pundit in Telugu by self-study and didn't have any certificates. He served as a teacher in Christian mission school in Bhimunipatnam (1913-1915) and then in Vijayanagaram at Vijayanagaram King's College as a Telugu teacher. Later he became a college lecturer there. He retired in 1934. 

His works include Dhilli darbar (for children), ceruvumeedi padyamulu, Adidamu Soorakavi jeevita caritra (1720-1785), Vismrta kalingandhra kavulu, Sriramastavarajamu etc.
